About Our Farm

We are located on 44 acres in Eastern North Carolina .

Dorpers were created in South Africa by crossing Horned Dorset Rams with  Black Headed Persian ewes, to produce a sheep with very little wool and a meaty body.  They are able to thrive on pasture alone, and still maintain a fast growth rate.  They are also good mothers that normally give birth to twins, and they can be bred at any time of the year.

Maremma Sheepdogs are an Italian Livestock Guardian Dog breed who's history goes back over 2000 years to ancient Rome.  They were bred to be large enough to kill wolves, and to have dense heavy coats to withstand all types of weather.  They naturally bond to animals they are raised with . and will protect them from all predators
